At the start of November, the Virtual Doctor's board, hosted an evening at the Zambian High Commission. This was designed to foster connections, thank some of our donors and meet some of our volunteer doctors, who collectively make what we do possible.
Central to the night's planning was our board member and trustee David Dutton, who was an excellent host. Huw Jones, our founder and President started the evening by giving a candid account of why he was moved to create the charity.
This was followed by an update on current and future projects and direction of travel by James Phiri, our executive director.
Finally, Huw, James and Daniel, our medical director, spoke about the Livingstone Revisited Expedition, which took place in September 2024, during which we onboarded 60 new clinicians and donated over 300 solar lanterns.
