the Virtual Doctors are delighted to announce the appointment of Kathy Burke as a new trustee.

Kathy is a scientist with a background in reproductive health and HIV, who has worked in both the non-profit sector and the Federal government in the US, and more recently, as a teacher in the UK.

She has been involved for many years with a number of educational and health-related charities, either as a Trustee, fundraiser or advisor. She holds an MSc in Genetics from George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Her involvement with the Virtual Doctors goes back to early 2017 when she started supporting the Virtual Doctors as an Ambassador Volunteer for Fundraising and Monitoring & Evaluation. She has greatly contributed to the success of our Malawi Appeal Launch at the House of Lords last October and her skillset will be an invaluable addition to the organisation.

We welcome someone of Kathy’s immense experience which will strengthen our board especially in the area of our reporting and monitoring and evaluation. My colleagues were unanimous in electing her.
— Ian Kerr, Chairman of the Board

Congratulations Kathy on the appointment!
